Dr. Shu has been involved in the field of spine surgery & orthopeadic for the past 14 years. He is experienced on clinical diagnosis and therapy in spinal degenerative disease, spinal trauma, spinal cord injury, spinal tuberculosis, spinal deformities, etc. He’s good at various minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) including interbody fusion assisted with endoscopy or tubular retractor (MISTLIF), percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD), microendoscopic discectomy (MED), percutaneous pedicle screw fixation, percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) and percutaneous kyphoplasy (PKP). He’s also proficient in anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and posterior one-side open door laminoplasty. He’s also Interest in stem cells (iPS and MSCs), tissue engineering on spinal cord injury and lumbar disc degeneration.
